The Customs Support Family keeps growing. In July 2022, we welcomed Portmade as a new member in Belgium. Portmade has been active in the customs industry since 1987 when it was still a department of CMB Transport, a Belgian shipping company. 

The Dutch Customs Authority is replacing its declaration system AGS (Aangiftesysteem - Declaration system). The new declaration system DMS 4.0 (Douaneaangifte Management Systeem - Customs Declaration Management System) was originally scheduled to go live in April but was postponed until October 2022. Because of issues linking DMS to their accounts receivable the Customs Authority has delayed the implementation of DMS 4.0 until further notice.

This Monday, 26th September, was the European Day of Languages, which celebrates linguistic diversity across the European Union. The day also promotes plurilingualism and lifelong language learning.

Today is National Customs Day in the Netherlands. What better day than to take a look at the history of Customs in the Netherlands. This year the Dutch Customs Authority celebrates its 425-year existence. 

Sometimes we are asked to support a project that makes the hearts of those involved beat faster. This is the case for a recent project that we are handling from our offices in Terneuzen.

Customs Support Safety, part of Customs Support Group, grows further with the acquisition of DeGasdokter. This takeover strengthens our position in the market for gas measurements in the Netherlands.
