Since January the Incoterms 2020 are in effect. Every ten years these Incoterms are updated. You can read more about the most important changes compared to Incoterms 2010 in one of our earlier blogs in the Incoterms series. The Incoterm in this blog is one of the Incoterms specifically for transport over water: Cost and Freight (CFR).

The Dutch Customs Authority decided earlier this year to no longer allow non-EU companies to be the exporter. Due to the COVID situation, the implementation of this decision has been postponed. As of October 1st, the exporter mentioned in Box 2 of the export declaration has to be a company established in the European Union.

To enable our customers to digitally submit their export declarations directly to the Customs Authority, we have developed our 'CustomsOnline' portal. 

Per January 1st 2021 there will be two types of EORI numbers. An EU EORI number and a UK EORI number.
