Gas measurement and degassing
About a year ago we added GOC Rotterdam to the Customs Support family. Until recently they operated under the GOC name, but now that they have successfully integrated they will continue as Customs Support Safety as of January 1st, 2022.

Measuring gas in shipping containers is very important, but there many other confined spaces that should be checked for dangerous gasses. Most dangerous gasses can not be seen, and some also can’t be smelled.

In the past years, our company has grown considerably, on the one hand through acquisitions, on the other hand, we are growing through our portfolio of services.
We have specialized in measuring gases and degassing in sea containers, trucks and warehouses. We supply reliable and reproducible measuring techniques in order to carry out thorough risk analyses with a sound knowledge of the matter.

GOC, located in Rotterdam - The Netherlands, is specialised in gas measurement and degassing in confined spaces. With a team of certified gas measurement experts, they currently measure around 30.000 containers annually and scan for more than 300 noxious gases. GOC is mainly active in the Port of Rotterdam area. GOC offers a unique drive-in measurement and degassing solution in the harbour of Rotterdam. Next to these services gas surveyors carry their work also out on other locations in The Netherlands.

These numbers are important because 20% of the containers contain hazardous gases. Depending on the cargo, a wide range of off-gassing production chemicals, sterilants, and fumigants in these containers potentially pose a serious threat to transport workers, warehouse employees, and customs officials. The rise in container shipments also means a rise in risk.

Two of our subsidiaries specialize in a whole different part of the import- and export process: risk assessment and degassing of import containers, and the gassing of export containers.
